March Madness

I’m gone one week and they change everything around here! First of all, there’s a whole new person in the office (the one that’s the new and improved me). Second of all, James and Chad are hot on the trail of new office space (we’ll miss you charming bungalow). And third of all, the whole office is playing hooky next Thursday and will be hanging out at a sports bar to watch basketball.

Okay, first of all, the new person is a guy, so it’s safe to say that his hair is nowhere near as great as mine. I really don’t care how organized he is or how cool he is on the phone. As long as I have better hair, I think we’ll get along. I will spy on him in the coming weeks and let you know what I find out. For now, his name is Justin and James says he’s great. I’ll be the judge of that.

New office space. There is good news and bad news. The good news is, James and Chad are hiring more loan officers. The bad news is, they won’t all fit in our charming bungalow office. Even if we could convince everyone to drop a few pounds by going on one of James’ juice cleanses, we still can’t make it work any longer.

So it leaves the ole Bosses with one option. Scour this fine city for new office space. Now, they haven’t signed on the dotted line just yet, but things are progressing nicely toward some nice space here in the Heights with lots of windows. As soon as I find out more, like which corner office I’ll be occupying, I’ll let you know.

And finally, the basketball hooky day. Here’s the thing. Apparently Thursday March 15^th is some basketball festival day called March Madness and men and women from around the country scream at flat screen TVs for hours on end and drink beer. And the Memorial Branch of Envoy Mortgage is no exception. Get this. From 11AM to 8PM Thursday, the whole office will be at 360 Sports Lounge on  Washington Ave. And guess what? You’re invited!

But listen up. I need your help. First of all, I would love to see some of you readers there. I am not exactly, like, a sports fanatic, and it would mean so much to me to have some of you there to talk to. Plus, it will make me look really good if I can have some of you show up at this gig saying, “I’m here because Just the Assistant invited me,” and then I’ll rush across the room and give you a big power handshake that starts way up in the air:

Let me know around what time you’ll come so I can have your seat ready. They reserved a private room with pool tables and TVs and food and drinks. So fun! Just ask where the Memorial Branch of Envoy is hanging out  and then look for me. I may or may not be the one hustling folks in pool and ordering vegan cheese fries.
